Rose's personal trainings have helped me a lot to understand concepts and to improve my game. Rose has a broad knowledge about jiu jitsu as well as specific expertise therefore she can adjust to your wishes and needs. She is a great teacher and trainings with her are lots of fun. She puts real effort into helping and coaching you. There are many details she has taught me that I continue to put in practice. I would recommend booking a PT with Rose to everyone.
I came to Rose for private class to prepare my second competition, and she was very helpful in laying out options and plans for me with the information I provided regarding the style I prefer and area I want to improve (or at least have options to get out of there). We had 4 sessions before competition and every session we focused on one area and Rose gave me few options to progress/sweep from there, and she was helping me to take notes and layering it out 🙂 I felt more confident after filling some gaps of knowledge knowing I have something in the pocket to use for competition, and I would definitely continue private classes with Rose as the discussions we have in class is also very helpful for me to understand position concepts and day to day trainings. Highly recommend if you want to compete, or feel stuck at training and want a faster pace of progress! Also, Rose is an awesome coach in competition!
Making the decision to work with Rose as my jiu-jitsu development & competition coach was immensely beneficial! Rose is not only an experienced jiu-jitsu competitor and coach, but she has a warm, personal, and unique touch to her coaching style, which sets her apart. From the beginning, she created a safe space for me to share my top BJJ goals (and frustrations + challenges). This included ways to set up my life + training schedule so that I could train smart & effectively without burning out, improve my technical development, and develop my competition mindset + strategy. I loved how insightful, detailed, and practical her advice was; it literally covered everything I needed. She is attentive, genuinely cares about you, and is super responsive whenever you have questions or need extra support. There was enough time to address the core content during each session and I loved all the resources she provided such as the detailed coaching notes, feedback on my sparring videos, “action items” or “homework” that I needed to work on after the sessions, and having the flexibility of chatting over Instagram video (I’m tired of zoom haha) + messaging over Instagram/what’s app. To this day, there are a few quotes of hers that I repeat to myself as “mindset mantras”, as well as key lessons that have helped me become more resilient as a jiu-jitsu practitioner, competitor, and full-time dietitian. 10/10 would recommend coaching with Rose to anyone who wants to improve their approach to jiu-jitsu training, prepare effectively for competitions, and work on their mindset + resiliency.
